La Vie en Rose...

Evil, putrefaction, everywhere, it's choking me...too much horror for my mind to process! This has been such a difficult week for me, one after another horrible news have been hammered upon my impressionable soul: a serial rapist lurking the nearby grounds of the UPR, robbery, attacks, death ... yes, I knew all these things happened, I've always known...but I never thought I'd be so close to them. I am scared, there is no other word to describe this feeling. This morning, while walking towards college, I was in the border of tears. The morning was grey, cloudy and cold, the air felt heavy. I was walking all by myself and every single noise startled me "that could be a thief, and he'll cut me just to steal something - maybe someone will jump from around that corner and strangle me..."

God, I just wish I could go back to being that 14-year-old that lived in a pink world or at least, be the 23-year-old I am and push a button to make that world a reality.

40MBs of True Bliss

On Thursday night, I was browsing the Web when I found a rare Sandro CD that my mom doesn’t own and I’ve never seen over here in PR, so I downloaded it. On our way back home on Friday, I told her I had a little surprise for her. I played the CD and she was sooo cheerful! She sang along (I did too, but I only knew a couple of lines from some of the songs) and started talking about how Sandro moved when singing this or that song, about his voice and how he deserves an homage because of his great popularity and contribution to Latin-American music in the 60s-70s; I totally agreed. My point here….how mere 40MBs were able to make my mom so happy and how they made a very interesting mother-daughter conversation bloom. The power of 40MBs… How many MBs does it take to make YOU happy? ^_^

Rain, rain....

...don't go away! I love it when it rains, as long as there are no thunders because those freak my dogs out. So, it's been raining since yesterday afternoon and everything smells and feels clean and fresh, yipee! I couldn't go to work nor class because some places are flooded and the rain is still heavy, but I'm happy to be able to stay home one more day :)

Random thoughts...

I wish that people were honest about what annoys them because sometimes you do something and you don't know that it is bothering them. Since you don't know, you do it again and again until the point in which this other person explodes. It's just that I get "weird" looks from some people and then wonder if it's because I'm bothering them by doing a certain thing or what. I can be veeery paranoid... O.O!

On a side note: yipee, today at work we got chocolate muffins, yummy! I miss Niimu's brownies T_T

Pros and Cons of living here...

Living away from home is not sooo horrible, but it certainly has its pros and cons:

  • CON: No privacy
  • PRO: Fast Internet
  • CON: Tiny Bathroom
  • PRO: Nice people
  • CON: Bedroom half the size of mine and is shared by two people
  • PRO: Cheap, compared to other places
  • CON: Food…I won’t even try to explain this one, the subject has so many layers it could easily become a novel (lol)
  • PRO: I’m bonding with my other shista, Harita ^_^
  • CON: I'm far far away from Rafaelitu, Mom, Niimu and everyone else I love :(
  • CON: Uncomfortable when it comes to finding a place to do my homework or use my laptop
  • CON: I could go on and on with cons...

Random quick post....

The other day I was waiting in line at Banco Popular and when I looked up to a TV set a Tommy Torres music video was playing. I was amazed at how much he looks like Orlando Bloom now! Last time I saw him his hair was longer and straight, and he had no facial hair. He looks hotter now, teehee ^_^

Tren urbano, zoooorm!!

Last Tuesday, the 9, I rode "el Tren urbano" for the first time ever! It was Andrea's idea to take the "tren" to go downtown because she wanted to go to a Chinese store. I got a card (for $1.50), then walked inside the station.

We waited for about 2-3 minutes...

...then, the train arrived. It was very exciting, I felt like a little girl, so I took a couple of piccies.

We walked inside the "tren", I sat, but Hara (Andrea) didn't (which is why you can see her backpack in the photo below) - she wanted to know what it was like to ride a train while standing. We got to our stop in less than a minute.

At the Chinese store I bought a cute cellphone accesory for $.99! Afterwards, we ate pistacchio ice cream ^___^ It was a nice afternoon.

Luck has been on my side...Neopets-wise ^_^

Hi, hi!

Mi linda amiga Niimu (wuv you!!

  • I got over 6,000 in all of my Make Some Noise.

About a week ago I watched "Veneno Para la Hadas" and these were my afterthoughts:

A Mexican fairytale about manipulation

If you’re looking for gore, violence and/or frightening scenes please look elsewhere because Poison for the Faeries is neither of these. What makes this movie horror is psychological, either because you are expecting something scary to happen or because you realize how wicked Veronica is. The movie is imaginative, bright and colorful, which keeps in tone with this being a fairy tale. Ana Patricia Rojo’s performance is excellent and the faceless grown-ups add an eerie atmosphere to this movie. I'd recommend this movie to people that like Grimm's Fairy Tales or to people that are just curious ^_^

This most be the most boring blog...ever...

LoL, I barely update it ^_^ Let's see...something interesting, hmmmm...

The other day I was watching Buffy fanvids and it made me want to watch the series all over again!! So between Friday and Saturday I watched season one and I think that I might keep watching all the seasons little by little. I might also re-watch Veronica Mars; Buffy and Twin Peaks can have that effect on you. Yes, I've been watching Twin Peaks - it's such a strange and addictive series! I've also been watching Mr. Bean, the animated series, it's so funny. I love Mr. Bean *.*!

Besides having fun watching shows, I've been doing homework and doing homework and taking tests and getting grades *sigh* I can hardly wait for summer vacations!! Though, it will be a sad summer...after it, more and more changes will come T-T

Lazy, Lazy and Attack of the Random T's!!

I've been feeling so lazy lately, but it seems that laziness isn't affecting just me because two other classmates told me that they've been infected too. Another classmate told us that it's because we're graduating this year, that the same happened to her (she's doing her Master's now.) At least I did my homework and reviewed for my quiz and test XD

Another anomaly has been random T's when I write (yes, write, not type ) I am not sure why, but I was writing on a quiz and kept writing "istote" instead of "islote"...The third time I got it right! I also wrote Tuestay instead of...you can guess XD

Yesterday I watched "Dolores Claiborne". It was a bit predictable, but I really enjoyed it because of Bates' performance and because the plot was well weaved. That in addition to the flashbacks, symbols and Ellen Muth's surprising role (surprising because I didn't expect to see her there, lol) made the movie shine!

Today I watched "Doomsday", it was kind of shocking (especially Toyman's demise O_O!) though I actually expected it too be more...violent? bloody? dunno... because the whole the PG-13 thing and the comments that some friends made. Anyway, it was an enjoyable and engaging animated film :) I also started watching "Hell Girl", the anime - quite interesting so far, but I want to know more about the girl!!! Hope there's an episode about her past :D Hmmm...I like the dolls they use to make the pact...maybe I can do one myself, looks easy enough!

The Perfect Man...LOL!

For French class we have to build our very own "Frankenstein" Monster, hahahaha! With celebrity parts, from magazines, we have to build a new person and then identify the parts, in French of course. This has been so much fun! I finished mine, but still haven't identified the parts. It's ok though, this is for Monday. Here's my masterpiece (though I couldn't scan the rest of the legs)

Isn't he cute?

Something Has Happened!
You are now eligible to use 'Ace Zafara' as an avatar on the NeoBoards!

It wasn't so complicated, but it took me a couple of tries ^_^ I'll try to get more game related avatars! Wish me luck :D

New Quest ^_^

I am currently questing for a Gold Prince's Rapier on Gaia, I need all the tickets and tokens I can get!! (It's worth 8,200 tickets) People have been very generous so far ^.^

[I completed it on February 23!]

I want it!!!

There is a new evolving item in Gaia (has been for a few days now) and I want it!!! It's called The Experiment. Why I want it? Not because it's one of those rare items, but because it reminds me of Frankenstein (I'm always on the lookout for all things Frankenstein, lol.) It's so expensive though, I'm waiting, hoping that it'll be cheaper soon!

Up to date...

Wow, the semester started already and I didn't post anything about that, haha! Lemme see...

I didn't go the first day, I only had one class and figured that since it was the first day I wouldn't miss much. I regretted that for the next two days, until (on Thursday) I found out that the first day the professor had arrived 18 mins late and most of the students had already left.

She sort of gave us a speech because even though the rules say that students have to wait for professors for 15 mins, waiting 2-3 more minutes wouldn't have hurt. She also explained that it wasn't her intention to arrive late, but something came up and when she realized that it was time for class she did her best to get there. I felt weird because I wasn't there when the students "stood her up", so that speech didn't apply to me, but she's not psychic to know that, lol XD

Geez, there was this guy in class who kept talking, trying to either contradict or support whatever the professor said. He was freaking loud and annoying! At some point during class he fell asleep - good you might think, well no, it got worst - he was still talking, babbling in fact, aggghhh. I felt like hitting him...>_>!

French went well, but I got too much homework - which I've almost completed because I still have to practice for an oral presentation. Span American Literature was nice and I'm almost done reading an essay by Jose Marti (we had to read some poems and the author's bio too.) Advanced Composition seems like it will be a good course, but the professor is -- not sure how to describe him -disgusting,odd, unpleasant....?- First impression can be deceiving, so we'll see :)

That will be all for now I gues ^.^

PS. Mr. Coffe Lover love "En la foto de la spider, uno de los ladrillos de cemento parece arroz con dulce, jajajaja!"

Neopets Lab Ray

I loooove Neopets, it's has been one of my favorite websites for years ^_^ I've decided that from now on I will screencap any important Neopets-related events and post them here. So here's the first one:

Yes, Prince - it was a boy -and an Uni- but the Lab ray changed his gender T_T On a brighter note, "she" looks cool painted Robot.

First Post

I would like to start this blog with a very honest statement: I have murdered more than one blog/journal/whatever-writing-thingabob. The reader might wonder: "Why are you going to make another one if you are going to kill this one as well?" The answer is simple: because I can...kidding. It is because one of my best friends made one and I figured that we could reply to each other's posts or something like that, lol :P

That is it for now, will post some more later...hopefully :D
